New Login Experience

Starting August 5th, the Cuebiq Data Platform is introducing new, more secure, and more convenient ways to sign in. This article explains what's changing, why, and what you need to do.

What's changing

1. Sign in with Google or Microsoft

If you already use a Google or Microsoft account (e.g., your work email is managed through Google Workspace or Microsoft 365), you'll be able to log into the Cuebiq Data Platform with a single click using that account.

  • No new password to create.
  • No separate credentials to remember or rotate.
  • Faster, more secure access, backed by your organization's existing identity provider.

To use this option, simply select Google or Microsoft on the login page and authenticate with your account.

2. Standard login: email + password → email + one-time password (OTP)

If you don't use Google or Microsoft to sign in, the standard login flow is also changing. The traditional email + password method is being replaced with email + OTP (one-time password).

How it works:

  1. Enter your email address on the login page.
  2. Cuebiq sends a one-time code (OTP) to that email address.
  3. Enter the code to complete sign-in.

You no longer need to create, remember, or periodically change your password.

Why we're making this change

  • Security: Removing static passwords reduces the risk of credential theft, reuse, and phishing.
  • Convenience: No more forgotten passwords, password resets, or mandatory periodic password changes.
  • Consistency: Login now follows the same modern authentication standards used across most enterprise tools.

What you need to do

  • Nothing in advance. The new flows go live automatically on August 5th.
  • If you use Google or Microsoft for work, you can start using Google/Microsoft immediately after the release.
  • If you use the standard flow, simply enter your email at your next login and follow the OTP instructions — no need to remember your old password.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to reset my password before August 5th?
No action is needed. Existing passwords will simply no longer be used after the switch — the OTP flow replaces them automatically.

What if I don't receive the OTP email?
Check your spam/junk folder first. If you still don't receive it, use the Resend code option on the login page or contact support.

Will my account, reports, and data be affected?
No. This change only affects how you log in. Your account, permissions, workspaces, and data remain exactly the same.

Can I still use Google/Microsoft login if my organization doesn't use those services?
No — this option is only available if your email is managed through a Google or Microsoft identity provider. Otherwise, use the email + OTP flow.

Is OTP required every time I log in?
Yes, each login will require a fresh one-time code sent to your email, replacing the password step.
